Can you make money with your own online course?

Absolutely, you can definitely make money with your own online course! There are a few different ways to do it, like charging for access to the course, offering a subscription service, or even selling related products or services.

One of the most popular options is to charge a one-time or recurring fee for access to the course. You can use platforms like Thinkific or Learnworlds to sell your course directly to your audience. Another option is to offer a subscription service with additional resources, support, or exclusive content. And don’t forget about the potential to earn money through related products or services, like coaching or consulting, or selling e-books or workbooks.

But, just like any business, it takes effort and dedication to create a successful online course and make money from it. Before you get started, make sure you have a clear understanding of your market, audience, and competition, as well as the value you’re providing and the price point for your course.

How do you market your online course?

Do not overthink the marketing for your online course. It’s a simple 1-2 punch to grow your audience. The first step is to pick a platform to start connecting with your audience. I recommend TikTok and YouTube. If you’re more of a “podcast” guy, then, I recommend doing a podcast. You can also search Fiverr for podcast help.

That’s it. Nothing to overthink when growing your audience. Then, you’re going to send them to your lead magnet where you can email your list. That way, you can put a “get on the list” when we launch this course and then, open it up for 10 days. After 10 days, put up the “get on the list” page.

Then, create an easy 10-day launch sequence that you’ll do 3-4 times per year. Once again, nothing to overthink here.

In conclusion, Thinkific, LearnWorlds and Ruzuku are excellent options for creating and selling online courses. You can create a free account with each company to see which one matches your style of learning. I love Thinkific, but LearnWorlds may offer more community-building features. Ruzuku, however, has been around the longest since 2007.
